As ECH2A active members, we engage in international events and working groups that promote investment and wide-scale implementation of green hydrogen – related technologies.
At the beginning of April, Mr. Ciprian Păltineanu attended the kick off CEO meeting of the roundtable (Hydrogen Transmission & Distribution Roundtable – ECH2A) facilitated by ENTSOG under the mandate of the new co-chairs DESFA SA – Hellenic Gas Transmission System Operator, Enagás and KfW IPEX-Bank.
The Hydrogen Transmission & Distribution Roundtable – representing companies, stakeholders, civil society & policy makers interested in the transport of hydrogen from production sites to demand centres – together with other interlinked, sector-based roundtables of the Alliance will contribute to a clear pipeline of viable investment projects, to facilitate coordinated investments and policies along the hydrogen value chain, and cooperation across private and public stakeholders across #Europe🇪🇺, providing public support where appropriate and crowding in private investment.
INSPET represents the only constructor of pipeline infrastructure and related processing installations for energy vectors in gaseous form and the only T&D roundtable invited and selected from Romania. Our company’s presence in this working group indicates both our interest in Romania’s transition to a hydrogen economy and acknowledgement of our experience and projects in the fluid infrastructure industry.
The discussions, under Chatham House rules, focused on the most recent deliverable of the roundtable, the “Learnbook on Supply Corridors” (pipelines & storage facilities, marine storage and handling terminals, shipping and inland distribution), emphasizing progress with a few corridors to be commissioned already before 2030, together with a few bottlenecks: (i) prolonged regulatory uncertainty and complexity, (ii) financing limitations and complexity, and (iii) unaccommodating administrative timelines.
