A special moment brought the magic of the winter holidays to INSPET, as students from the Faculty of Petroleum and Gas Engineering delighted us with their heartfelt carols. These moments remind us that the holidays are about giving and bringing joy to those around us.

More than just a tradition, their carols carried a charitable purpose: all gifts received this year will be donated to the Alexandra Children’s Home in Prahova and urgent medical cases, supported by these dedicated young people.

We are proud to support initiatives that prioritize community and inspire us to be better. Our heartfelt thanks go to Mrs. Iuliana Ghetiu, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Petroleum and Gas Engineering, for her involvement and for organizing this wonderful moment.

Congratulations to everyone involved, and we look forward to welcoming your carols again next year!

We participated in the National Session of Student Scientific Communications organized by the Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiești, under the theme “Energy Sources in the Development and Management of Sustainable Businesses“—a highly relevant topic considering the essential role of sustainable solutions in today’s business development.

Mr. Bogdan PÂNDARU, Deputy General Manager of INSPET, shared our company’s perspective on sustainable development and renewable energy utilization.

INSPET remains a pioneer in Romania’s energy transition, having already installed a photovoltaic park on its industrial platform in Prahova County and operating an electric vehicle fleet to reduce our carbon footprint.

We have also initiated our efforts in hydrogen projects. As the only Romanian contractor specializing in fluid infrastructure and complex installations, INSPET joined the Financing Task Force of the ECH2A Hydrogen Transmission & Distribution Round Table in 2023. Our inclusion in this working group highlights our commitment to advancing the hydrogen economy in Romania and recognizes our expertise and completed projects in this domain.

Consistently reaffirming our belief: natural gas is not just a resource; it’s a catalyst for change. In this spirit, our company participated in the Natural Gas Forum, a key event organized by Financial Intelligence, dedicated to the energy future of Romania and Europe.

We engaged in in-depth discussions on the strategic role of natural gas in the energy transition and how it directly supports the competitiveness of Romania’s industry. Energy shapes our economy, and the topics we explored highlighted that we’re at a critical moment for the future of energy in Europe:

🔹 Gas supply for the winter of 2024-2025 – Are we prepared?
🔹 Price trends – What can we expect in the coming months?
🔹 The Draghi Report – Natural gas as an essential lever for industry
🔹 The new European Commission – What directions will we follow?
🔹 “The Antwerp Declaration” – Concrete solutions for economic competitiveness

Current issues for Romania were also addressed:

🔹 Neptun-Deep Project – immense potential for the country’s energy security
🔹 Hydrogen – Strategic opportunities for economic development
🔹 Gas price caps and the impact of fiscal policies on the oil and gas sector
🔹 Carbon capture, utilization, and storage technologies (CCUS) – Investment in a sustainable future

The dialogues at the forum underscored, once again, the need for cross-sector collaboration and innovation to tackle challenges and harness opportunities—particularly the collaboration between authorities and the business environment. At INSPET, we are more motivated than ever to actively contribute to these efforts and to build a competitive, sustainable Romania.
